Car locksmith in Mililani: keys, fobs and lockouts at the car

Keys sitting on the seat behind a locked door, no key left at all, or a fob that no longer answers? We drive out to the car with blanks and programming equipment on board, so most makes never need a tow.

Car jobs we take

What does a car locksmith visit cover?

Six kinds of car work, all of it done beside the vehicle. Say which one fits when you phone, and the quote comes before the van rolls.

  1. Car lockouts

Doors shut with the keys still in the cabin or the trunk. We get you back in, hand the keys over and check that each lock still works.

  2. New key with no original

Not a single working key left? We cut a fresh one to fit your locks and program it on site while you watch.

  3. Remote fobs and smart keys

Remote fobs and push-to-start smart keys get paired to the car right there, so the lock buttons and the start button both respond before we go.

  4. Transponder chip keys

Plenty of cars refuse to start unless they recognize the chip inside the key. We program that chip so the engine accepts the new key, then you test-start it.

  5. Broken key extraction

Half a key jammed in a door lock or the ignition. We draw the broken piece out, then cut a working replacement if you need one.

  6. Ignition repair and replacement

The key slides in but will not turn, or the cylinder wobbles. We repair the ignition, or replace it when a repair is not worth the money.

Finding you and the car

How do we find your car in Mililani or Wahiawa?

Give us the area, one road and one landmark, and the van takes the right H-2 exit to the right curb or lot the first time.

Four local spots, and the first move in each

  • Rental locked at Dole Plantation

Ring the rental company's roadside line first. Depending on your plan, they may unlock it remotely or send help. If they leave it to you, we can open it in the lot.

A lost rental key is different: the car is theirs, so the replacement goes through the rental company.

  • Shut out on the H-2 or Kam Highway shoulder

Get clear of traffic first: off the pavement, behind the guardrail if there is one, never directly in front of or behind the car. Feel unsafe? Call 911.

Then phone us with your direction and the last exit you passed: 5 for Mililani, 8 for Wahiawa.

  • Dead fob and a stiff keyhole after rain

Wahiawa gets far more rain than town, and a keyhole used only when the fob dies can stiffen in that damp.

Most fobs hide a metal key for it. If it will not turn, stop: forcing it can snap the blade in the lock.

  • Keys locked in at a store or school lot

Name the lot and the spot: outside which store at the Town Center, or which lot on California Avenue. A child or a pet locked inside? Call 911 first, then us.

Starting prices

  • Car keysfrom $120
  • Lockoutsfrom $150

The exact figure depends on the vehicle and the key it takes. You hear it on the phone and agree to it before the van leaves.

How a job runs

A car key job, start to finish

Three stages, and the price is settled in the first one.

  1. You call with the car details

Year, make and model, plus where the car is sitting. A VIN speeds things up if it is easy to read.

  2. You hear the price, then we drive

The quote comes during that same call. Approve it and the van heads over, and we ring again when we are close.

  3. Tested at the car

The door gets opened, or the key gets cut and programmed beside the car. You try it in the doors and the ignition before we leave.
