Every key tried in every lock
We rekey, fit or repair at the door, then you test every new key in every lock before we pack up. If a lock turns out different once it is open, we stop and explain first.
House lock and rekey questions
Usually, as long as the locks still work well. A rekey starts from $75 per lock and keeps your hardware. New locks make sense when one is worn out or damaged, or when you want a different style or a deadbolt you never had.
Most are made for a standard deadbolt hole, but door thickness and hole spacing vary. Compare the sizes listed on the box with your door. If the door needs work to take the lock, we tell you and price it before starting.
In most houses, yes. Locks that share a keyway can usually be rekeyed to match each other. A house with mixed brands may need a cylinder or two changed first. Name the brands when you phone so the quote covers it.
Yes, on a mailbox that belongs to you. A shared cluster box is up to its owner: the Post Office looks after locks on the units it owns, and the builder or property owner looks after private ones.
